Karmel Club for Sports, Culture and Social Activities PDF Print E-mail

Earlier this year, the "Karmel Club for Sports, Culture and Social Activities" contacted Shams Jordan as to find funds in order to rehabilitate an area (which is part of the club), and transform it into a Playground for kids and teenagers. The sports club is located in the Plaestinian refugee camp of Al Husn, in the surroundings of Irbid. 

UNESCO Jordan accepted to fund the project, allocating to Shams Jordan the sum of 25 000 JD. The target population of the playground will potentially reach 4000 kids of all ages.

The project is currently under way, and is aimed at being completed by the 31st of January 2012

 Shams Jordanie is a not-for-profit NGO, set up in 2007 by a group of French-speaking volunteers living in Jordan. The patron is HRH Princess Rym Ali.
The Association supports local organisations that work to help people most in need in Jordan.  Shams Jordanie provides financing, technical  assistance and training and ensures a regular follow-up of the use of allocated funds. 
Shams Jordanie is registered with the Jordanian Ministry of Social Development under the no.1756.
